We’ve opted to close our position in toy maker, Character Group (CCT) due to significant concerns about the company’s performance.

The stock has experienced a substantial decline, dropping by 56% over the past two years and this consistent downward trend raises doubts about the company’s long-term prospects.

One key factor contributing to our decision is the decline in earnings per share (EPS). Over the past five years, EPS has decreased at a rate of 17% per year.  And in a recent trading update, Character’s cautionary tone regarding unresolved challenges and potential warning signs reinforces our decision to close our position.

Although an uptick in insider buying in the last twelve months is a positive factor, we acknowledge the importance of considering earnings and revenue growth trends as more meaningful indicators of the business’s health.
